Looking the part

Business travel feature – bmi Voyager - 2007

Going to an important meeting when you land is enough on your plate without having a wardrobe malfunction to boot. Crumpled suits, scuffed shoes and too much stubble will leave you looking less than razor-sharp. Thankfully Voyager knows how to make you look the business.

Suit you sir

Those clever types at Rohan, the original travel clothing specialists, have spent over a year designing a travel suit that is cut from a crease-resistant blend of natural wool and clever fibres. It has a stain-repellent Advanced Teflon finish, so you can even do highly experimental cooking in it without bursting into flames. The lining, made of breathable mesh, is light, comfortable and cool. Inside are handy pockets for your passport, boarding card and tube ticket -as well as a secure wallet pocket. Envoy Suit jacket (£190) and trousers (£89.50) from Rohan's stores or www.rohan.co.uk

Arrive on time

You'll be right on time with the Peregrine Chronograph. With a powerful and efficient heart at its core (hence the reference to the fastest bird in the world), the watch features a large chronograph, a 12-hour alarm, split second stopwatch and a nine-jewel Swiss quartz movement. Standing proud alongside its more famous cousins, Breitling and Tag Heuer, the big difference is it doesn't come with a huge price tag. From £150; can be ordered exclusively from www.christopherward.co.uk

Grab a cab

Invented by London taxi driver Tony Brady, the Taxi Hailer is a credit card-sized, lightweight and slim gadget with a bright flashing light for catching a cabbie's eye. The replaceable batteries guarantee a minimum of 100 hours or around six months' use. Recognised by licensed London taxi drivers, this smart card is bound to catch on overseas too. Costs £9.99 plus £2.50 p&p from www.taxihailer.co.uk

Good hair day

You only have a few minutes to check-in, shower and go. No wonder your hair stands on end. Step in T3's new range of nongirly hairdryers. They use the latest revolutionary technology, emitting negative ions to neutralise static and reduce frizz, a common problem in hot climates.  Infrared heat helps cut down drying time and moisture loss, making this a powerful travel hairdryer that punches well above its weight. Bespoke Labs T3 Overnight £77; from www.t3hair.com or Selfridges.

Don't stay in the shadows

Designer stubble might suit rock stars but rarely those in suits. Philips, the inventor of rotary shaving and dab hand at shaving technology, has developed the SmartTouch-XL. The Contour Following System means the orange-detailed shaving head now moves, the first Philips shaver to offer this tri-pivoting action. There is a Chrome LCD display and the Jet Clean System cleans, renews and charges the shaver when in its base. So there's no danger of meeting the CEO with little squares of tissue stuck to your face. From £200; available from Argos and Boots nationwide.
